worried about my friend?

i hang out with him all the time, he hasn’t really changed or whatever, but i saw him yesterday talking with a known drug addict from my school and i caught a couple of snippets from there conversation:
drug guy: “……get you so high”
friend: - i didn’t hear what he said here
drug guy: “no man it will kill you”
friend: “just bring it tomorrow please”
just a little about him - its our junior year and his dad has been laid off. he likely won’t be able to go to college and become an architect (his dream) hes very famous with the ladies.
how can i dissuade him from going down this road?
